Dietzler Farms Goes Green

My friend Michelle over at Dietzler Farms asked me to help her jazz up her booth for the opening of Chicago’s spectacular Green City Market.  As one of only a handful of new vendors this year, Dietzler Farms wanted to make a splash.  So off we went to source some bright, fun, farm-friendly items to dress her tent.

Since we knew that, unlike the gorgeous tents full of produce and fresh flowers, Michelle’s product was going to be hidden away in coolers, it was important to draw folks into the tent with color, pattern, and other eye-catching elements.

Greeting shoppers was a folding chalkboard with pricing information, as well as cork board covered in a sunny yellow print to bring attention to the weekly special.  Above the chalkboard hung one of our favorite pieces: an eight-tentacled, octopus-esque chandelier with clips holding the menus of just a few of the hot Chicago eateries serving up Dietzler Farms’ products.

Additionally, to show off what the Dietzler Farms philosophy is all about, we started by setting the small round table out front with mason jars filled with their all-natural feed products.

Futher into the tent, we hung a giant banner, beneath which was a perfectly set table holding the more practical elements of the day: a big woven basket filled shopping bags, a few albums containing farm photos, press clippings, and more menus, as well as some buckets of business cards and other essentials.

Flanking the table on either side were the coolers, which I hear were practically empty after an exceptional day of sales!  While the product is certainly amazing, I’d like to think the modern-meets-farmhouse decor had just a little something to do with the success of the day!

Congrats to the “Beef Diva” on a great debut at the Green City Market!
